Held every three years, the World Petroleum Congress well deserves its reputation as the 'Olympics of the oil and gas industry'. Said to be the most influential meeting place of the global oil and gas industry was held in Madrid, Spain this year.
After being opened by H.M. King Juan Carlos I of Spain this highly anticipated event got under way. Over the course of the event 14,500 visitors attended to watch the 590 speakers and visit 260 exhibitors present at the IFEMA-Feria de Madrid. More than 4000 delegates registered for the event.
