Aquasign® technology was originally developed by Shell Research and Blacksmith received the marketing, distribution and manufacturing rights as part of Shell's contribution to the joint venture. These rights were eventually purchased outright from Shell in 1997.
In 2001 Champion's core business, oilfield production chemicals, was hived off to a separate company, Champion Servo Limited. This enabled Champion Environ to focus exclusively on anti-fouling solutions.
Champion Environ has continued to invest heavily in anti-fouling research to ensure the technology offered provides premier solutions to the subsea industry. In addition we have sought synergistic technologies to allow us to offer a wider portfolio of products to our customers.
These are exciting times at Champion Environ with the launch of further improvements to our anti-fouling product range in the coming months.
